Thanks

Well that's because "multi phase" covers a huge range of possibilities. Different vendors provide equipment at ranges of actual GOR.

You really need to define the input fluid, pressure, temperature, composition, mass flows etc and talk/send that to Different vendors. Some will be able to pump it, some won't.

That I know whilst I need the basis of concept selection. GVF is the basic information for pump selection whilst actual GVF is unpredictable due to well behaviors and consequently pump will fail particularly when wells are produced with ESP pumps. I need more information on this side.

I'm not following you at the moment. What you're asking for sounds like vendor specific information to me. If the GVF varies a lot, maybe a multiphase pump isn't the right answer?

George,
Even he is chasing red herring, then how to move forward with the selection of Multiphase pump. May be you have gone through multiphase pumps selection as well.

Oh dear, that is sad. My old operating company toyed around with multiphase pumps many years ago (some 40years ago ?), and have long given up. Multiphase pump was installed and operated for some years on one offshore oil production facility, with many trips and failures. I was not involved. No one proposes such ideas anymore in this company.

George,
Your answer support my thoughts after reading technical paper (multiphase Gas Liquid pumping.
Many thanks

I agree with George.

It's been a while since I looked seriously at MPP, but the vendors were all quite specific in their narrow range of GVF.

It was either install a separator, then a pump and a compressor or a huge solid piston pump going slowly.

Sir, I always got more confidence after reading your answers and posts as many experienced engineers, even not foresee the cost of failures.
Many thanks
