Multiple basins draining into single catch basin

I have a site with three basins that will all drain into a single catch basin. How would I model this in HydroCAD? Would I have three separate files, one for each basin or is there a way to have all three basins in one file?

Can I have three subcatchments with three ponds? Subcatchment 1 with arrow to pond 1, subcatchment 2 with arrow to pond 2, subcatchment 3 with arrow to pond 3. Then have a link with an arrow from each pond to the link.

Any of these arrangements are possible. Everything can be done in a single HydroCAD file.

* 3 subcats to 1 pond/CB
* 3 subcats, each to a separate pond
* 3 ponds to a final reach, pond, or link (used to calculate the total combined flow.)

I entered three subcatchments with each one going to a pond. Then I had three ponds going to one link. However, my link is showing 0.00 inflow. Should I have three different inflows or at least one total?

The link will report the combined inflow. If there is zero inflow, apparently there is no outflow from each of the three ponds. Perhaps everything is being retained and/or infiltrated in the pond(s)? Or there could be no runoff. Check the ponds and subcatchments.

I believe I setup my project like the sample pond #1 example on the hydrocad site. However, it doesn't look like I am getting an outflow from my ponds. Can I email my project to someone on here and have them look at it? Thanks.

Please check your pond storage data. I suspect you meant to enter the surface areas as square-feet rather than acres. This causes each pond to be much larger than intended (x43560), so the entire inflow is being retained.

To enter the data in square-feet, uncheck the box for "Large Units" and reenter the correct values.
