Hello everybody!
New to the forum here. Also a beginner in Abaqus.I have a few questions regarding Multiple Input Multiple Output simulation on a simple rectangular hollow beam of length one meter which is hanging from two thin strings on both ends of the beam.I have already determined the frequencies and mode shapes of this beam on Abaqus.
Coming to the main idea, it is to determine characteristics and performance of hammer testing and MIMO testing on linear and nonlinear structures ie., frequencies and mode shapes which are subject for comparison and evaluation.I have to acheive this using Abaqus only(Tell me if this is acutally possible in Abaqus or do I have to use other software?).I apologise in advance if I am displaying any ignorance, since I have been doing experimental modal analysis for only about 20 days now.
1)My first question is how can I achieve non-linearity in the beam in Abaqus?
2)Then the next question is how can I simulate multiple inputs(ie. multiple impacts ) to get multiple outputs in both linear and non-linear cases over the length of the beam?
