Multiple thermocouples in a cable grip?

Can K-type thermocouples touch each other when passing through a cable grip?
I'm certain that the wires could, since they are routinely bundled together in raceways. The question posed to me was if the sheaths could be in contact when passing through, or if they needed to be isolated from each other.

Thanks,
Ed

As long as the TC wires themselves are isolated from the sheathes then they can touch each other.
If it is a long run be careful, impedance matters when you are measuring microvolts.

Thanks,
Your replies are appreciated. This confirms my initial assumption.
The multi-cable grips were something we were discussing internally among our (design) group.
