Hello All
I have a template file which shows two layers, 140 & 141, I can't get rid of.
I've deleted all drawing sheets, datums & graphics.
Saved it, reopened it, choose delete command & select all, system says nothing's there to select.
Does anyone have any suggestion on how to get rid of these phantom layers?

Thanks,
James

To start with they aren't phantom layers they are phantom objects on those two layers.

Some of the most common culprits are empty groups and faceted bodies left behind after the solids may have been deleted. Running part cleanup there is an option that gets rid of empty reference sets. And for users with an advanced assemblies licence rogue faceted representations can be deleted manually.

The best way to find out the cause is to use the layer information under Format>Layer Settings>Information[button]. This creates a listing of the objects that are on various layers so that you will know which type of entity you need to find and delete.

Best Regards

Thanks Hudson, part cleanup "Delete Unused Objects" did it right away.
Duh, I should have thought of that.
