Hi All,

I am just a noob in Ansys, I did an Euler buckling analysis. I have an rectangle (rectangle with hole) which contains a circle inside. I am meshing both the parts one by one and merging them.

After solving the current LS, color of circular part is changing from blue to purple (as in image attached below). I just want to know what does this mean? The circle has not merged completely?

Thanks in advance!

The different colours represent the way the element 'normals' face. In this case the normals for each are different ie the normals for the blue part are facing outwards, and the part showing purple faces inwards.
