Hello all,

I install a vessel, where the nameplate location is no visible.
there is an obligation in the codes about put the nameplate in a visible part?
How Can i achieve this without cut the existing nameplate?

What do you mean of "no visible"?
if it was covered by painting or insulation, remove them. If it was not reachable physically, IMO, to Keep the copy of the name tag in the file for future reference.

Hello mk3223,
a beam is passing in front the plate, so basically the beam is covering.

Suggest to check with the Inspector who is in charge to the vessel and get his acceptance for the location. IMO, the Code requires a nameplate, but doesn't specified the specific location to be acceptable. It comes down to the "common sense" that what's "visible" and how much of it is required.
Wish you luck to get the blessing from the Inspection.

I expect you will have to get your AI involved to move the nameplate.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
