Hi, I have a customer who wants to use Solid Edge and I use NX.
Can a native NX file be opened in Solid Edge with the tree structure and visa versa?
Thanks.

By "tree structure" do you mean the feature history? If so, the answer is almost certainly "no".
NX will allow you to "open" a native SolidWorks file; but what it really does is extract the parasolid information giving you dumb bodies in NX. Based on the wording of the SolidEdge documentation linked by jerry1423, I suspect it does the same for SolidEdge files.

NX and SE can open each others files. ( Models)
In NX there will be created an associative SE body, no features/ no tree. I am quite sure its the same in SE.
But, if you update the SE model and save that, it will update in NX. Edits shall be performed in original system.
"SE CAM" is in fact NX CAM, built on this principle.
