NEC 505 and Explosion Proof

I have a motor

has a rating as Class 1, Zone 2, IIC, T3.

I've read through NEC 500 and 505. I see the definitions of "Explosion Proof" in 500.02. I see the definitions of the Class, Zone, Material Group, and temperature designation in various sections of NEC 505.

1) Is there a way to tell if this is an "Explosion Proof" motor just from this information?
2) Is there a way to tie the concept of "Explosion Proof" to the "Class, Zone, Gas, and Temp" ratings.
3) On the nameplate there isn't an explosion protection standard (for example: AEx-NEC) nor a method of explosion protection specified on the nameplate.

What is the area classification of the location where the motor is going to be installed? That motor would be permitted to be installed in a Class I, Division 2 location per 501.5.

In the NEC, a motor that does not have any arc producing contacts does not require any special marking for use in a Class I, Division 2 location.
