NEC/OSHA Clearance Around Enclosed Machine

I have a 120V (plugs into outlet) "wafer wash" machine (2ft x 3ft) with electronics etc fully enclosed with casters (too roll out for service). When operating, verything is fully sealed (like a dishwasher).

One of our maintenance guys says I need a 3-ft clearance all around per NEC/OSHA.
But I think that applies to exposed/live wires, breaker panels etc -not an enclosed machine.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The 3-foot clearance is NEC 110.26. It is a working clearance for working, examination, adjustment, etc. If this is some type of machine where it is normal that an individual must work on it, then he may be correct. You may need the 3-foot working clearance in front of any access panel, etc.
