Need a Photoelectric Sensor

Hi all! We have an application requiring the use of a U-shaped (also known as slot or fork style) photoelectric sensor. The application requires that the size of the sensor be around 16mm X 14mm X 6mm. Ideally I would like to try out sensors from several different manufacturers but I am having a lot of trouble finding any that are this small. Anyone know where I could find some?

Is that the same as a "slot photodetector"? Is so, try Digikey's search page. There are some small ones there.

We use that kind of thing and call them "Slotted Opto-Switches" there are quite a few illustrations here and should be available worldwide. Some have inbuilt Schmidt trigger circuitry so they are TTL compatible.
