Does anyone know of a place that can hone out the ID of 321 stainless steel tubing? Looking at taking Schedule 160 and Schedule 80 piping and having the ID turned down to match the ID of some AS1895/12 style flanges.

Dimensions look like this (OD is standard; units in inches)

ID OD Length
1.450 1.900 22.5
1.950 2.375 30
2.440 2.875 37.5
3.410 4.000 52.5

The entire length? Or just the end where the weld joint is to be made? If the latter, any machine shop with a lathe big enough to hold the parts. If the former, you might be money ahead by finding a custom tube drawing shop to make your tube to the correct size in the first place. Or look into slurry honing of the whole stick?

Call Scot Industries.
It would cost a lot less to buy new pipe.

Plymouth Tube

Ideally we would like the entire length to have the same ID. I tried ordering custom piping that was welded and drawn, but Plymouth over there requires a minimum of 1500 feet...
