Need help about Ansys

Hello,

I have a problem in my model in Ansys.I modeled a I beam and apply the boundary conditions at the line, it analyzed, but when I apply the boundary conditions in nodes instead of lines the program exits automatically. I dont know what is the problem. it should be no difference to apply the boundary conditions on line or on nodes, right?
I will appreciate if you help me to figure it out.

Also, I used shell elements to model the I beam.

It sounds like a programming glitch. Definitely a question that should be asked directly to ANSYS.

These problems are not uncommon in ANSYS. I would suggest try exactly the same thing several times. If that still doesn't work, contact ANSYS if you have to put on nodes instead of lines.
