I'm on nx7. I need some advice how to get the best visualisation for a brochure. I've exported a tif ( attached)
where the edges a of the profiles are staggered . How can I get better results? (no studio render license)The edges should be shown as real lines.

Those 'staggered' edges are what's known as the 'jaggies' and it's a characteristic of ALL raster images, of which tif is but one type (along with jpg, gif, png, etc). And since you don't have a rendering license, you're limited to screen resolution (the higher the resolution, the smaller the 'jaggies') so what you've got is about as good as it's going to get.

thank you John,
that the information I want to have, now I can ask for a render license - or we will continue to ask graphic designer.
thx

You can still render higher quality images without the studio rendering license. You won't get Photo realistic rendering, but you may get some improvement. The first few shading types are available without the full license. I don't know that they offer great improvement but it may be worth trying.

Because I do have the license I can tell you that there is a marked improvement for the Photo Realistic rendering type and above.

thx Hudson,
I knew the giroud - phong rendering - when there is an opportunity to show the (face)edges of the profile steels,
jagged in the attachement,
it would be nice to know how - with or without the render license -
thx

If the data is small enough then what you could do is to set up saved views, materials and even lighting for each brochure image that you need and then simply have somebody else run the shading for you.
