Need Help Removing Rigid Body Constraints in Abaqus 1

Hi everyone
I'm currently working on a simulation in Abaqus where I dropped several parts into a cylinder initially, and later imported the final configuration for a compression test. I imported the parts using the predefined field menu to ensure accurate initial positions. Initially, I applied rigid constraints to simulate their behavior upon dropping into the cylinder.

However, when I attempt to remove these rigid constraints for the compression test, Abaqus still treats the parts as rigid bodies. This poses a problem because I need the parts to deform during the compression test, not remain rigid.

I've tried removing the rigid constraints, but Abaqus seems to maintain assumptions of rigid body behavior for the parts. Can someone help?

Thanks for the response. Just to be sure about the procedure. Here is what I did:

1.)I first ran my normal simulation, for simplification, I only used one particle (see Job DroppingPart.inp).

2.)Then I created a new model and imported the part from this job.

3.)Next, I defined a predefined field with an initial state and ran the simulation (see Job CompressPart).

However, my part is still rigid, and I get the following error message:

Code:
Error in job CompressPart: There is no element available in the model to control the stable time increment for Step 1. Please add a deformable element to control the stable time increment. Alternatively, you can use DIRECT TIME INCREMENTATION to perform the analysis at a user specified time increment.

Can you tell me where my mistake is?

You don’t really need the whole import procedure with an initial state field since the part is initially rigid. Just import it (using File —> Import —> Part) in its deformed configuration, assign a section to it and use it normally.
