I need a power source

output sine wave
frequency: 2450 MHz
Voltage: 10 kV
power: 50 W

I have no idea in it, anybody can give me some information in products or show me a way to design it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

What is the application? By your spec, it sound you need a TWT.

The 2.4G TWT are usually used in the industrial heater or microwave oven.

You may check the they supply the TWT for industrial heater.

I hope it help.

lkm ,
sorry for my ignorance. What does TWT stand-for?

Thanks,
Ralph

Motorian,

please consider your specificartion again:

At that frequency and that voltage even the smallest parasitic capcitance will draw an awfull lot of current.

Hi
This is powerful source and if you haven't experience in microwave design you can't do it.
The power source with magnetrons will fit your specification. This device are use in home
microwave heating (high supply voltage, frequency 2450MHz), in this heating magnetron
delivers ~ 700W output power. For example this power can be achieve with semiconductors
devices but not with this voltage (power amplifier with LDMOS can delivers 50W with power
supply voltage 28V)

That's a pretty fantastic specification there! Do you really want 10kV? If so what is the output interface - most high power microwave devices like magnetrons have ports to suit waveguide couplings, so you can't really get an output voltage directly. Also do you want CW sine wave output output, or pulsed?

The 50W 10KV implies 2MOhm or more. I think the only way
to reach it is in a cavity -- perhaps even one with
superconductive coating.

You may have to increase the power...
