Hi Guys,
I need information regarding the usefulness of closure strip in concrete slabs. What i heard is that, when we have multistoried structure joined to single storey structure, this strip have to be defined there to reduce the stresses caused by settlement of the highrise structure. Is is really needed, because the structure joining it have to be cast at a later stage. I see someone prescribed fibre reinforcement in addition to the normal reinforcement in that closure strip. Kindly elaborate it if somebody know it.
