I need an on/off valve that can operate at 300°C and 35 bar. It should also have a small dead-volume (less than 1-5 ml), and be reasonable small, since we are installing a lot of them in a restricted area. Prefarably Normally Open type.

We have tried one from an Australian producer, but are having large problems making them work according to specifications,
so we are looking around for alternatives now, if there are any. Do you know about any ?

Ball valves could accomplish what you want - although the temperature/pressure (572 F, 508 psi) puts this in a fairly high class valve. I assume by dead volume you mean the volume around the sealing device which is encapsulated when the valve is closed? If so - then that is where a ball valve gets you in trouble. What kind of flow requirements do you have and what chemical will be flowing tru the valve?

The flows are small; in the order of 10 - 100 ml/min.
And were talking about gases, inerts and hydrocarbons.
And in addition, I have to control these valves from the computer.

Try Swagelok. They carry a large line of small valves down to 1/8" air or electric actuated within your pressure range.
