Hello all,
I am an electrical engineer, so please forgive me if I say the wrong thing or if I am in the wrong forum. I would appreciate any help or guidance you can provide.

My situation is this... I am designing the electrical controls refit for an automobile shredder yard and one of the systems I will interface with is a hydraulically driven conveyor system. The hydraulic pump has a Moog 63-108A servo valve. My question is... what kind of electrical signal is required to fully stroke the valve in both directions, i.e. +/- 100 mA, +/- 300 mA, etc.?

Any help would certainly be appreciated.

Tru this site and look in the appropriate menu.

I could not find the part number you gave in "Industrial Controls" but they have a customer support menu that should get you what you want.

The 63-108A servo valve has +/-100mA coils at 28 ohm.

Therefore to drive on a single coil you need +/-100mA,
series coils need +/-50mA
Parallel coils need +/-100mA

Thank you Budt, and a great big THANK YOU to Hydromech! That's exactly the info I needed. I very much do appreciate your help! Now I know what kind of servo-driver module I need to interface to the PLC.
