I have a custom menu written by an old co-worker and it was for cad 2000 now I'm wanting to use it with cad 2009 and when i try to load it the icons on the tool bar just turn into question marks instead of the correct icon. can any one help me figure this out? thanks Kenny

Hi kenny45,

Your menu can't find the pictures (icons) for the menu you've created, you may have missed copying the .bmp files for the menu your co-worker created.

TODD THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING, WHERE WOULD I LOOK FOR THESE FILES AND , HOW IS THE BEST WAY TO MIGRATE THE MENU INTO THE 2009 CAD?? I AM KINDA NEW TO ALL THIS AND NEED SOME DETAILED HELP HERE THANKS KENNY

Hi kenny45,

The easiest way is to use the migration utilities installed with AutoCAD. Look in your program group under Autodesk.

If you don't have that, check the directory your menu is installed, you should have some .bmp files in the same directory the menu was (I'm guessing you still have the old install laying around).

If you don't have any of these files, or access to them, you'll need to recreate the images. Right click on the toolbar and select customize, and you'll see all the tools available to edit your toolbar and images.
