You all know the type of screw - hex head with crosspoint and a serrated flange acting like a shakeproof washer but actually part of the screw. Thread length about 6mm, diameter about 3.5mm used for securing PCI expansion cards in PCs. I need to buy these in batches of about 500 - too many for my local Computer shops to supply. Anyone know of a UK distributor that stocks them?

Thanks,
Dave

CPC do Replacement Expansion Slot Fixing Screws.

(Type #6-32x6)

10 screws for £1.55

Order number CS06370.

They don't appear to have the serrated bit though.

Thanks zeitghost, I hadn't thought of CPC (obviously!) Unfortunately it's now too late to use these in the equipment we are selling, I had to use Stainless Steel Self-Tapping Screws from Rapid Electronics but I'll definitely bear them in mind for my next project.

Best Regards,
Dave

I also noticed that Maplin do an assortment box of computer screwery for about £19 which might be worth a look.

There appears to be quite a lot of screws in it.
