I clean the temp files, and defrag religiously.

We have not tried PDMWorks.

We can not reproduce it. It is a random event. There is no preceivable pattern. It happens to parts, assemblies, and drawings. It occurrs while performing an assortment of commands, ranging from opening, saving, and closing, to minimizing or maximizing a window. Sometimes adding a view in a drawing, sometimes adding a ballon callout or a dim, or a manual note. Sometimes changing configurations, sometimes changing back to the first configuration.

We do have AV, but I always disable it for installs and SP's.

Haven't tried a new profile or editing the registry.

I have done a repair (with AV disabled).

I like the batch file. Going to incorporate it into our starup.

Have you tried the Alternative re-install FAQ? faq559-507

This one is new to me. I will give it a try in a day or two. I've got to spend a little time being productive.

BTW, have you heard of any difference in performance and stability, in ragards to SW, between Windows XP Pro and Windows 2000 Pro?
