Hi, I am a SolidEdge user, but am unfamiliar with Femap. Can anyone please help me set this simulation up? My brain is going to start melting.
Boundary conditions - With the guide block fully fixed compress the top of the spring by 40mm. The top of the spring is centered on and free to rotate about the z-axis. At the same time push the semi-circular guide attached to the bottom of the spring along the groove in the guide block so that it stops against the face. At the same time rotate the guide clock-wise by 15 degrees.
Simulation - Fully fix the top of the spring in its new position, and fix the semi-circular guide to the guide block. Now, release all the consttraints holding the guiide block except for those supporting it on the z-axis. It should now be free to rotate into its natural position. That is what I want to establish.
Thanks, Mick
