Ok everyone I'm new to this forum and the plastics industry so I have a question
My employer has me trying to locate a company that custom extrudes nylon 12.
What is the next best alternative to nylon 12?
Our competitors currently have it made somewhere but of course they will not disclose where.
What I have from them is 3 nylon tubes bundled together in a nylon sheath. The sizes and uses for each are, 1/2" OD air supply, 5/8" OD exhaust tubing (no pressure, only as a vent), and a 1" liquid discharge line.
Things to consider:
a) Will be used in a landfill environment to pump liquid know as leachate and condensate from a sump.
b) Possible gases that could be in or around the sump are CH4, CO2, O2, CO, H2S, NH3, NO2, SO2, H2 & Cl2.
c) Need in lengths of at least 500' reels

So far I've got a quote for LLDPE, any thoughts on this material or is there something better than LLDPE and just as good as nylon 12???
