What will be the next version of NX be named?
It has been stated in the past that they will not go to using the year as the naming convention, so NX2019 is not an option.
NX13 is still an option and it has been done before with UGII, which had a V13 and a V13.1.
Does it get a new name entirely?
NX1 was initially distributed to Beta testers as UGII V19, then changed to NX1 during the Beta cycle.
PTC has used all manners of naming: Pro/Engineer V1 through V20, Pro/E 2000 and 2001, Wildfire V1 to V5 and now Creo 1 to 5.
Autodesk used versions before switching to year.
Solidworks uses year.
Catia uses version and release numbering, with releases not always backward compatible.
Yes, it's Friday!!!
