Can someone please shed some light on the following.
NFPA 13, edition 2019
18.5.7.1 Each run of pipe between changes in direction shall be provided with both lateral and
longitudinal bracing, unless the requirements of 18.5.7.2 are met.
The way I read this is that a change of direction is at point A and B (as below) and that the "run of pipe" between the changes is the segment A to B.
Yet, Figure A.18.5.7.2 does not show braces on the segment for the case L(AB)> 12 ft. Shouldn't the braces be on segment AB rather the end of main?
