Hello,

I am dealing with a HC-1 occupancy, but with a very high ceiling (60 ft.). I do not see a reference to ceiling heights in NFPA 13 for sprinkler design. I do see that FM uses ceiling height as a factor in their table for sprinkler designs. Does NFPA discuss ceiling heights at all, or recommend higher density for a higher ceiling?

I have heard it is coming in a future edition, but I have not read the committee information about it being in the 2025 edition of NFPA 13. Otherwise, currently, no modifications due to high ceilings. If you are dealing with HC-1, that is an FM classification and you shouldn't be looking at NFPA 13 at all. You should reference the FM datasheets.
