I have a question regarding "11.4.4 Fuel Piping." from NFPA 20, 2010 Edition.

11.4.4.1 reads, "Flame-resistant reinforced flexible hose listed for this service with threaded connections shall be provided at the engine for connection to the fuel system piping."

Is the use of "flame-resistant reinforced flexible hose" extended also to the actual piping between the diesel fuel tank and the diesel engine? Or is this hose limited to the connection between the engine and the engine's fuel system piping?

the second one if you ask me. Between the engine and the piping that is external to the engine itself

Its to keep from transmitting vibration through the fuel oil piping.

Can the connection between the diesel fuel tank and diesel engine be flame-resistant reinforced flexible hose?
