Hi, I need to know if the Electrical Hazards Laboratory or any facility of FM can test an explosion prevention system for a transformer. Specifically a destructive test in order to prove effectiveness of and passive mechanical system according to NFPA 850 recommendations. Thanks for your help.

dont try, do it!

There is only one location within FM where things are tested. It is a long process and will cost money. Google FM Global research and approvals to learn more.

Alright, but it is feasible to make this kind of tests t FM?

dont try, do it!

I would think so, but not knowing the size of your equipment I can't say. Ask FM Engineering.

Best to you,

Goober Dave
