Nitrogen Dew Point

Hi There

please I'd need your opinion about this issue I am facing.

I have an equipment that is fluxed, sealed and filled with Nitrogen @ 2.5 bar.
Basically it would be completely dry.

On the contrary, when after some days we open this equipment in the final destination, the equipment has liquid inside

I assume that, since the dew point of Nitrogen is -80°C, the formation of this water is not due to Nitrogen, since the equipment never encounters these temperatures.

I have made checked all the nitrogen line, including filters.
The sole hypothesis I can make is that this equipment is not sealed perfectly.

Please, which is your opinion about ?

If the equipment has been cleaned with a liquid at some time during the build process, then the liquid may not have been totally removed. It could be stuck in faying surfaces, cavities, convolutes of flex tubing, etc.

Is the equipment arriving with a positive nitrogen pressure remaining on it? The previous suggestion seems to be reasonable to me, how are you ensuring this equipment is initially dried out before you put the N2 pad on it and close it up for shipping?

Unless you have an absurdly tight air seal, there WILL be exchange with the outside environment. You do not say how much liquid is there, nor have you stated whether it's even water. What are the conditions around the box? Is condensation on the box occurring during transport?

when we absolutely, positively have to have something dry, we purge with heated nitrogen and sample with a dew point analyzer to make sure the water is down to an acceptable level.
