Hello

When I try to solve an advanced simulation I get this message

"No solution steps defined. Solution steps required for given solution."

It's a simple NX Nastran, Structural simulation.
I've already defined the material, mesh and forces.
I've first tried with the option "iterative solver" enabled but also disabled.

Where can I find the setting I need to change to avoid this error?

regards

Hello!,
This means that you have selected a Solution Type of say NONLINEAR STATIC Analysis (SOL106) where an interative & incremental loading scheme is used, then check your solution type seleected, if you select linear static (SOL101) then not any request of solution steps will be received.

Best regards,
Blas.

Thanks.

I think the problem was that I was trying to use the volume as an objective and NX only allows to use it as a constraint.
Anyway the topology optimization sometimes doesn't produce any result nor give a clear error, and doesn't allow to use nonlinear methods, and the result is a STL file that cannot further used to perform analysis without first transform it with an external program. Needs some improvement.
