Hello All,

I'm a newbie to Inventor 6 and I made a simple extruded cube that I wanted to display as the material "Lexan (Clear)". But for some reason when I change the material to that, it turns white instead of transparent. I also tried to set it to other materials that should have displayed with some amount of translucency but those all showed as solids as well. Is there a flag or something else that needs to be set for it to display the material correctly? (It looks fine when I set the block to something that wasn't clear like Chrome).

Thanks,
Jason O

Are you setting the transparancy level of the material? All of the materials have a default opacity...I think thats the right word.

Hi, did you check the Tools, Application options, Colours, Show reflections and textures box? Hydromech is right, check the display settings while you're at it. Other problems might arise if your video card isn't a good one but it should display the lexan if the settings are right.

Keep trying.
