hello,

I am doing a very simple example: a box or beam, with some loads and constraints and I am trying to analyse this.
When I analyse the full model, it doesn't generate a .xdb file so I am stuck in my analysis.
I found in a lot of threads to check the .f06 so I did. There is no warning or fatal message in there. I am thinking it could also be something with the installation. Since I am only just using this program.
Does anyone have an idea

When you checked the f06 file, did you see any actual results printed in there? Like, displacements, constraint forces, etc? Next, it may be that your default Patran settings is requesting a different results file format and not the xdb file. For example, a MASTER or OP2 results file.

Can you upload your simple bdf file so we can take a look at it?

Hi,

Thanks for your response. You were right, the default setting of Patran was not generating any .xdb file, now it does!
