With the use of CAF Gakets on chlorine duty being prohibited in the UK from the end of ther year, I need to find an alternative material.

What Non-Asbestos joints are being used around the world (for use on Dry Liquid Chlorine and Dry Gaseous Chlorine)?

Many thanks in anticipation....

Fawn Gylon from Garlock works well at ambient temperatures.

I am always aware when colours are quoted, is it fawn ?
or off-white ? depends if you are colour blind.
I assume it is the Garlock 3500 joint.
More to the point has it been approved by the Chlorine Institutes ?

I have heard that the American Institute has actually approved some makes of joints, But the European Institute are still to publish.

Gore,Flexitallic,Garlock,Klinger etc, all offer joints for your duty.
But which have been approved ???

Thanks for the feed back...

I am aware of some of the alternatives used in the Uk. But none have recommended by the C.I.A. as of yet. I am about to trial Flexitallic Sigma 511 which has been used by some users of Cl2 sucessfully.

I am interested to find out what is being used outside of Uk.
