Non-orthogonal View Line Quality in SW2003

Hello all,

Is there a way to improve the quality of the lines in a drawing view that is not an orthogonal view? I have a drawing of a curvy, somewhat organic-shaped plastic part that has many views of the same part. Most of the views look great. Two views, however, one parallel to the direction of pull and one that is a section of that view are completely aliased on all the curves. Even straight lines look blocky. The effect looks somewhat like I have enlarged a small bitmap image. Turning on anti-aliasing helps only slightly.

Certainly there is a setting somewhere that I've missed. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thanks Scott, but unfortunately the image quality setting doesn't appear to improve either of the views. I already moved the radio button to "Custom" and the slider all the way to the "Higher Quality" end, Deviation 0.00385268in before I posted. I apologize for not mentioning earlier that my problem is with a hidden-lines removed view (not shaded).

The good news is that there is a solution to this problem. View...Display...Use Fast HLR/HLV was turned on. I believed that it would only affect the display on the screen and not the printout. D'oh! Thanks again.

Is this strictly on screen or printed drawings too? For printing you should mess with your printers resolution, screen res for the screen, you may be able to get a better view with a higher res.

To me anyway, the views on the screen actually look worse with Fast HLR/HLV on. I'm not sure why. There was a night-and-day difference in the printouts; they became much better after I unchecked that setting.

I was using SW 2003, maybe in a future version they will or already have changed it so the Fast HLR/HLV settings only affect the screen and not the printouts. After all, what is the point of being able to rotate the view quickly on a printout??
