Has anyone seen or implemented non-parametric bead optimisation in Ansys WB or classic?
I've seen/read about the functionality offered by Altair's Optistruct, Tosca, etc, but was interested in finding out a way of performing similar analysis in Ansys. Particularly as this functionality isn't likely to be implemeented in v12.
At this stage I was thinking about a looping solve routine modifying a shell's element thickness based on resulting strain energy.
If anyone knows of any Ansys classic routines or algorithms relating to this, let me know. If I get anywhere I'll post back here....
