Dear All,
I am newbie in engineering
I was presented with new task ; adding to silo 2" #150 nozzle(1). Design P&T - 0.05barg/100Celsius.
I am unfamiliar with the process and would like to know the correct procedure to do this.
Nozzle will be use as sample collecting.

Can i use existing spare nozzle of silo sketch here? What should i knew also? Your all advises are welcome

Thank you!!!

If this is an existing silo, then I suggest you start by digging the full documentation pack for it and study it before you proceed with more questions.

There are many variables that could govern/dictate design of such type.

If this is the only information you were given - then there are infinite number of solutions.

Looking at design pressure and temperature - the silo might not necessarily fall under a pressure vessel code
and could be designed to Sound Engineering Practice so another thing you might want to do
is have a browse on the internet and find companies that design such silos and see what design codes/norms they are working to.

A quick answer is YES.
The sample point can be added either to one of the existing flanged nozzles if the size, location, availability, etc., are proper for the service.
Also, you may focus on the sampling device design for the hot temperature at 100 deg-C wile the pressure of 0.05barg may be not too critical.
