Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a limit to how far below the CL you can locate a nozzle on the shell of a horizontal vessel?
I have been given some 'best practice' advice about putting something no further than 50o from the CL but would prefer to take it to 60o-65o.
The vessel shell is 1'' thk with an OD 24 (made from CS plate not pipe)and the nozzle to be added could either be 3/4'' threaded pipe or a 3/4'' elbowlet depending on the angle.
I hope the above makes sense!
Any advice would be very welcome.
Cheers
