Whle doing the calculation for nozzle MDMT as per UCS-66(a), Assuming that we have a nozzle with Pipe, flange and RF pad, While concluding to value of MDMT what shall we consider the thickness of pipe, Nominal or reduced thickness(considering 12.5% under tolerance).
Definition of governing thickness mentioned in UCS-66 is not very clear when I am comparing it with a report generated from compress software, Compress is considering the reduced thickness which I find ok when I read it along with Note(1) from the figure UCS-66.2. AI is claiming that we cannot use Fig. UCS-66.2 as UCS-66.2 not referred within UCS-66(a, I tried to justify that Fig. UCS-66.2 covers UCS-66(a)in step-2 and note(5). Please let me know if anybody has any relevant information regarding this confusion.
