Hello,
I have a nozzle with weight and operating loads:
Weight forces = 1000 kN;
Weight moments = 20000 kN*m
Operating forces 1000 kN
Operating moments = 30000 kN*n
and I am using Nozzle Pro to check the stresses on nozzle shell junction by FEA.
I added in the software loads as Operating only and I activated classify all primary load case bending as Pb (En code).
Is it right as approach?
Client didn't specify to use load combinations and on nozzle loads page got from the client I have:
Weight = Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz
Operating = Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz
Extreme value = Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz (maximum value between Weight and Operating => Forces = 1000 kN; Moments = 30000 kn*m)
