Hi all,
is it possible to tell Abaqus to use a given amount of Gauss integration points?
Let's say having a simple 2d element and use a 2x2 or a 3x3 integration.
It should be possible somehow, but I couldn't find a solution.
Thanks for any help,
Gutti

In the mesh module mesh->element type-> select geometry-> geometric order (linear no mid side-nodes, quadratic mid-side nodes) I hope this helps.

thank you for the answer
I am not interested in using another element with higher order, but wanna modify the numerical integration directly
I know that for a 2d element a 2x2 integration is exact, however, how can I tell abaqus that it should use a 3x3 or 4x4 integration scheme - this is for academic purposes
