What are the criteria used in floor pan design ? What relationship is there between the underbody design and NVH eg the new Peugeot C3?

You could write a book or seven on that. Things you need to decide:

(1) are you going to use isolated subframes and cross memebers, or are you going to bolt them straight in?

(2) What point mobility targets are needed for each mounting point?

(3) Can you reliably get cancellation between two inputs (typically on the drivetrain)?

(4) What transfer function will you get between each mounting point and each passsenger input (eg seat, ear)? Which ones are important?

(5) Have you got enough room to mount big bushes - and is there enough room for the components to move?

(6) is there room for a large exhaust?

etc etc etc.

It's a very interesting field, but I don't think you can generalise much without analysing a particular case.

Cheers
