Thanks for your prompt answer. It helped me complete the task.Basically, I would use Extrude, Draft, and blends, based on what I would measure from the curves. Now if I had to use surfacing for some reason, I would go with bounded plane for all that is planar, and the blends would be through curves mesh with tangency to the adjacent faces.
Rob,If a had to do it with surfaces?
Bounded plane on all of the planer areas, then enlarge them and face blend.
Rob,
How would you enlarge the Bounded plane feature?
P.S. Would the Administrator accept to attach an NX file, as a sample?
Thank you!
Well, since I don't know the context surrounding your task at hand, I would normally go for Solid modeling. I would try extrude the lower section, then draft the left planar face, and then blend the edges that require blend on top. Thanks for your prompt answer. It helped me complete the task.
Quick question: You mentioned "Extrude, Draft, and Blends"; but all of them are tools for solid creation..................!
Was it an error? Could you explain what you meant?
Also, how would you create a solid out of the curves given?
Thanks a lot!
Instead of enlarging the surface, you can just use the "Extend Sheet" command with the "sheet edges" selection intent. Since these are surfaces created from a bounded plane, you shouldn't encounter any issues. If a had to do it with surfaces?
Bounded plane on all of the planer areas, then enlarge them and face blend.
If it won't allow you to attach a .prt file, try zipping the file first. That usually works.(I do not think that the administrator would accept NX file sharing....)
Hi Toost,Is this the real wireframe model you are asking about ?
Or are you trying to learn methods to apply on real model ?
