Our company is running NX-5. Our question is regarding the "Label Letters". From what we have read on the provided HELP in NX-5 "the letters I, O, and Q are not explicitly excluded from label letters. The Customer Defaults file includes options for including and excluding letters and limiting the minimum and maximum number of letters that can be used."

Basically, I have an employee who is trying to assign the letter "S" to a view, however each time he tries he receives the error message, "Invalid character found in view letter", this is the SAME message he receives when he tries the Default excluded letters (I,O,Q). He has no problem assigning other letters to a view.

Where would we go to view the currently excluded label letters and change them if need be?

I don't have NX5 loaded, however my reply will assume that the location in Customer Defaults has not changed and that you understand the different levels (Group, Site, User) of the Customer Defaults:

File -> Utilities -> Customer Defaults

Expand Drafting and under Drafting, select General. On the right side, of the dialog, select the Standard tab then the Customize Standard button (if it's not locked at a higher level).

Select View Label and on the right side of the dialog, select the General tab. Here, you should see what you're describing. Please note that if you are able to make the changes and there isn't any higher level locking (Group, Site) that NX will have to be restarted before this change will take effect.

Hope this helps.
