My company is switching from SolidWorks to NX 7.5. I have several drawings that needed to be copy over to NX 7.5. When copy from SolidWorks to NX 7.5 through the use of annotation, I notice that part of the note got cropped off and not shown. I went to customer default in NX setting and change the text editor box size, but still have no luck in making my text appear on screen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are you talking about the text that you see on a drawing or something else?

Yes, the text on the drawing doesn't show after I had copy it from SolidWorks or even Microsoft Notepad and paste it into my NX drawing. However, I notice if I copy a few sentences (not the entire note) from SolidWorks or Notepad and paste it into my note, the text would show up. Is this an NX issue?

Well for one thing, an NX note does not 'auto-warp'. You have to insert returns at the end of each line of text. Perhaps this is where your problem is.

I think I found the problem when copying and pasting text from SolidWorks. Some symbols used in SolidWorks like the "< or >" is not transferable in NX (NX won't accept the symbol). This made the entire annotation note in NX to crop everything after the "< or >" symbol. Also, quotations (") used in SolidWorks does not transfer to NX, have to retype them in the note.

The left/right 'arrows' (< >) are special characters in NX which are used, in combination with other characters, to define common engineering symbols such as you might find in GD&T symbols and such.
