Hey there,

Could anyone please tell me how I can achive the following:

I want to have an attribute on my drawing sheet that intelligently counts the number of sheets as you add them, so as you add a second sheet it will display: Sheet 1 of 2 and on sheet two it will display: sheet 2 of 2. Again, if I were to add a third drawing sheet, all three sheets must update to display:

Sheet 1 of 3 (For sheet 1)
Sheet 2 of 3 (For sheet 2)
Sheet 3 of 3 (For sheet 3)

Many thanks in Advance.

PS - We are also using TC 8.3

Recommended for you

Number of the current sheet: <W@$SH_SHEET_NUMBER>

Total number of sheets: <W@$SH_NUMBER_OF_SHEETS>

so this should do what you want:

<W@$SH_SHEET_NUMBER> of <W@$SH_NUMBER_OF_SHEETS>

Thanks very much Gunman,

This has solved my problem!

Where can I get a full list of attributes available for use inside of NX?

They are in the help and documentation pages that come with NX.

The drawing sheet count functions are technically NOT what you would call 'attributes' but rather the result of something called 'automatic text'. For more information about the use of 'automatic text' in Drafting, go to:

Also, this only returns the sheet number that NX sees, not necessarily what someone has named it. If someone decides that the original "sheet 3" should be "sheet 2" and renames them thus, NX won't catch the change. To keep it "associative", you will have to move the views from one sheet to another instead of renaming the sheet.
