Hi, this is my first time here

I'm a CAE Engineer in the automotive industry, I was using NX in order to mesh a file which has a very complex geometry, then I export it as a FEM file using the Export Simulation option (Solver NASTRAN, Structural), but when I read it with HM, the file doesn't load

Thanks for your help

Are you saving it as a .dat file ? Are you selecting the right filter in HM ? Do you get any error when opening or just blank screen ?

Yes, I was using a .dat type file, I realize that when you export shell elements, it doesn't load, but when I export solid elements the exportation have no problems, except that the solid elements doesn't respect the collectors

Thanks for your help

Dear Dangermx,
The first thing you must to check is if your model solves correctly when you launch the analysis from inside NX 7.5, I suppose you use NX Advanced Simulation with NX NASTRAN as FEA solver. If your model is correctly defined then solution will be performed successfuly, not matter if you mesh with solid or Shell elements, then you will be able to import the NX NASTRAN deck (*.dat) in any other FE program, say FEMAP, Hipermesh, etc..
Best regards,
Blas.
