Hello,
I'm new to CAE and have general questions about mesh qualities. I'm working on an assembly FEM creating meshes now for the associated parts. My goal is to have solid (CTETRA(10)) elements throughout the assembly.
I've created a mesh collector and associated 3D mesh for my initial part. The mesh quality check does produce some warnings and errors. I understand that these warning are a result of the input I give to the mesh quality parameters, but I'm looking for general workflow suggestions from experienced users. Also I realize making my element size smaller than suggested does increase quality, but I'm afraid solving might take much more than necessary.
What are the steps to ensure that my mesh is acceptable? Is 3D meshing the right way to go? Is there a general workflow that an experienced user would suggest when creating meshes for an assembly FEM?
Any suggestions or references would be much appreciated!
Thank you
