We recently upgraded from NX7.5 to NX8.5 and noticed that they have added the ability to define the shank in a tool, which I really am grateful for, but we use Vericut to verfiy our programs and if a shank is defined they are not showing up in Vericut. I was wondering if anyone that also uses Verciut would know if Vericut has fixed this in an update. And if so which update? We are running Vericut 7.0.3

Thanks

Are you using NXV? Or just a CLS file?

We open NX thru a Vericut .bat file if that is what you mean by NXV.

Please ask CGTech about this. The shank parameters are available to the NX API and MOM ouput.

From the Vericut Release notes for 7.2.3 regarding the NX to Vericut interface

"NXV is enhanced to support tapered shank in NX8 for these mill cutter types: 5 Parameters, Ball, Chamfer, and Spherical."

I have not had a chance to test this yet.
