NX - Design State

Good Afternoon,

I am new to NX after many years of using Catia. In Catia 3DX, there was a useful tool that changed the colors of parts on the screen to indicate their design state (released, WIP, etc.). Is there a similar function in NX? In my role, I often need to release many parts, and I would appreciate a tool or report that quickly shows if I have missed releasing anything, without having to expand folders.

Are you using Teamcenter, there are some reporting tools with Teamcenter, That may help you out. NX does have some sort of visual reporting. We do not use, but could be a place to start investigating. I think tool is called HD3D. Hope this helps a small bit.

As Deters mentions above, you can if running NX under Teamcenter do a Visual Report and the colors will tell the status.
the same report can be done in Teamcenter if you have the viewer. the Interaction is simpler in NX than Teamcenter.

That same tool, the "HD3D" / Visual report can be used to report on any type attribute, manufacturer, release status, dates, product class/ type , user, etc
